This is an easy one really, although it always feels steeper than you remember.  It's about a 30 minutes drive from home and a summit I've activated a number of times over the years.  It's only a 20 minutes walk from Gummers How car park to the summit, and it's a very popular walk for locals and tourists alike.  Cracking views over Windermere and a great 2m takeoff.

As we had plenty of time I'd taken the FT817 and yagi as I wanted to try some 2m SSB in addition to FM, it was nice to work into Devon and Cornwall on 2m SSB outside of a contest.   In total 22 QSOs were had which included 2 S2S contacts; these were Allt y Main and Blencathra.
